When is check in/out time?
Check in time is 3pm and check out time is 11am for all accommodations in regular season. Please check your Arrival Email for specific check in times for your stay – as they may vary.

Can I arrive early to utilize the theme park?

Yes, you can arrive early and receive your park access wristbands to enjoy the park prior to check in time. Hotel guests will receive their wristbands at the hotel front desk. Rental/campground guests will receive their wristbands at the gate. You can either park in the hotel parking lot or the General Store parking lot while you enjoy the park.

Can I have an early check in/late check out?

Unfortunately, due to our occupancy levels, we are unable to accommodate any early check in/late check out requests. However – should you arrive early and check with the hotel front desk or camping office – your room/unit MAY be ready early based on housekeeping status. This information will not be made available until you arrive.

Can I continue to utilize the theme park after I check out of my room/unit/site?
Yes! Once you check out of your room/unit/site you can exit the campground and drive over to the main theme park parking lot. As long as you still have your wristbands and car hang tag you will not be charged for admission or parking. Simply park your vehicle and enter the theme park gates. You may stay in the park until it closes that day. There is RV parking available in the main gate parking lot.

I have food/medication that needs to be refrigerated. Is there somewhere to store it if I arrive prior to check in time?
Should you have refrigeration needs prior to check in, we recommend bringing a cooler to store your items as we do not have an area to store such items safely.

What do I need to check in?

The reservation holder will be required to show valid ID upon check in. We will also ask for your confirmation number which is listed on your confirmation email.

I have guests that would like to stay at our site just for the day. Can they come through the hotel/campground gate?
No. The only guests allowed through the hotel/campground gate are those that are registered and paid for on the reservation for the entire length of stay. Day guests can park in the main theme park parking lot and walk to the campground entrance inside of the park. They must leave by the time the park closes.

How many vehicles am I allowed?
Two vehicles are allowed per site. Additional vehicles can park in the hotel lot or General Store lot. Motorhomes/RV units do not count as a vehicle.

What is your inclement weather policy?

The Darien Lake Accommodations Department does not issue refunds for inclement weather. We may be able to change your site to something more accommodating during inclement weather based on availability. For information on the theme park inclement weather policy please call Guest Relations at 585-599-5219 during theme park hours.

I booked a package that comes with added benefits (meal vouchers, in park credit, etc.). How do I get those benefits?
Any added value benefits included in your package will be available at the hotel desk for hotel guests, or at the Camping Office for rental/campground guests upon check in.

I am attending a concert and staying overnight. How do I get to the concert area from the hotel/campground?

To get to the show enter the amusement park and head towards the Grizzly Run ride. There is a gate to the left of Grizzly Run that will be opened when the gates open into the Amphitheater. After the concert, go back though the same Grizzly Run gate (with the stage behind you – head to the exit on the LEFT). You will be required to show your current Accommodations wristband to walk through the park back to the hotel/campground. There are no other walking paths and shuttles are not provided. Gates will close 30 minutes after the concert ends. If you are being dropped off at the campground after the concert you will only be allowed up to the campground gate. Unregistered guests are not permitted through the campground gate.

Can I bring a golf cart?
Yes, you are welcome to bring your own registered golf cart with proof of insurance. Unlicensed drivers are not allowed to drive through the campground. The General Store also offers a limited amount of golf cart rentals that are available on a first come, first serve basis. Golf carts are not permitted in the theme park.

What do I need to make a reservation?
Whether you are booking online or booking over the phone you will need to know your dates of stay, the number of people staying, the type of accommodation you are looking for, any valid promotion you may want to add, your full contact information, and the required deposit.

What is the required deposit when making a reservation?

The required deposit depends on the promotion you are booking with and when you are booking. Some promotions require a $50 deposit, a 50% deposit, or payment in full. If you are booking within 60 days of arrival you will be required to pay in full.

Can I pay upon arrival?
All reservations must be paid in full ahead of time. Your reservation will be cancelled if it is not paid in full 60 days prior to your arrival. You are welcome to come to the Reservations Office and book a reservation and pay in person. Please be sure to call ahead to 585-599-2211 to ensure our office hours.

What type of credit cards do you accept?
We accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express.

Do you charge in Canadian funds?

All transactions are processed in US Funds. Your credit card/banking institution will convert the funds.

I do not need park admission included in my reservation – can I book something without the admission?
Park admission is included in all of our packages as our campground/theme park are all connected. We are unable to remove park admission from our packages unless you have Season Passes.

I have Season Passes – how should I make a reservation so the admission isn’t included?

You can book a reservation using the promotion code SPAS. You will be required to show Season Passes for everyone on the reservation upon check in. Should only some people on your reservation have Season Passes – please call 585-599-2211 so we can adjust for you.

I have some Bring a Friend ticket benefits with my Season Pass. Can I use those towards admission within my reservation?
Unfortunately, the Bring a Friend tickets are only applicable for day tickets and cannot be used towards accommodations admission.

How old do I have to be to make a reservation?

You must be at least 21 years old to make a reservation and someone at least 21 years old needs to check in, and be present on the site/in the room for the entire length of the reservation.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations can be made up to 14 days before arrival. A refund is issued minus a $50 cancellation fee. If you are within 14 days of arrival – no refund will be issued. You are welcome to reschedule your reservation to different dates within the current season based on availability – however the rate may change.

How do I know what unit/site number I have been assigned?

Your site number is listed on your confirmation letter that was emailed to you. When booking online – your confirmation email with your site number listed will not be emailed to you until the next business day.

My confirmation letter lists my site as “tentative”. What does tentative site mean?

Darien Lake reserves the right to move your site for maintenance issues, groupings, or for any other reason at management discretion. No site assignments are ever guaranteed.

Can I change my site?

Site changes may be accommodated based on availability. If you would like to change your site prior to arrival, please call 585-599-2211. If you have already checked in – please go to the Camping Office to inquire about site changes.

I’m trying to book online and I’m being warned of a possible authorization hold that could be placed on my credit card. How can I avoid this?

The possible authorization hold is not taken by Darien Lake, but rather by your credit card/banking institution. This hold may be avoided by booking over the phone at 585-599-2211. The authorization hold is usually in the matching amount of what you are charging and will be returned to your account in a few days – depending on your bank.

I saw a promotion advertised previously that I would like to book but the website is not letting me. How can I book with the promotion I saw?
First be sure to check that you are booking within the given parameters of the promotion (correct dates of stay, number of nights, number of people, etc.) If everything looks correct to you then more than likely the promotion has since expired. Unfortunately, we are unable to apply expired promotions to reservations. If you believe the promotion is still valid, please call us at 585-599-2211.

What if I make a reservation but a better promotion comes out later – am I allowed to switch?

If you find a better promotion that is applicable on what you are staying in for the correct dates you are welcome to change by calling 585-599-2211. You will be required to adhere to the parameters of that given promotion (ex. The new promotion may require you to pay in full as opposed to only putting down a deposit).

Conveniently located on picturesque Darien Lake, the Lodge on the Lake is just steps away from our theme park. Come and go as you please throughout your stay.

How many people can sleep in each room?
Each of our hotel rooms can sleep up to 6 people, however there are charges for each person for park admission.

Do you have adjoining rooms or rooms with separate bedrooms?

No. We do not have any rooms that adjoin. None of our rooms including the suites have separate bedrooms. The suites simply have a separate living area with a living room, kitchenette, and second bathroom.

Do the rooms come equipped with microwaves and fridges?
All hotel rooms come with a mini fridge. Only the Kids Forts o Fun Suites and Suites come with a microwave. There are microwaves available for use on each floor in the vending areas.

Is there a pool?

Yes, there is an outdoor heated pool available to hotel guests. Pool hours vary.

Are there restaurants in the hotel?

There is a small walk up café in the lobby called Woody’s Café that sells a la carte items for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Each morning there is a full breakfast buffet available for purchase at Beaver Brothers Restaurant in Darien Square. Woody's Cafe and Beaver Brothers hours vary.

Are there grills/fire pits available at the hotel?

We have two grills and two fire pits available behind the hotel pool that are available on a first come first serve basis.

Can I have a room next to my friends?

There is free Wi-Fi available for our hotel guests.



Guest House Information

Relaxing and comfortable 4 room Guest Houses nestled in a picturesque wooded area within walking distance to our theme park.

 


How many people can sleep in a Guest House?

Each cabin can sleep up to 10 people, however there are charges for each person for park admission.

What do I need to bring for the Guest House?

Guest Houses come furnished with bedding including sheets, comforters, and pillows for all 4 bedrooms and the pull out couch. Also supplied is towels for the 2 full bathrooms. Additionally we also supply a limited amount of cookware including pots, pans, dishes, silverware, etc. If you have special cooking equipment you may require please bring it with you.

I'm having trouble booking a Guest House for the days I want. Is there specific check in and out days?

Due to limited availability in the summer, guest house reservations are limited to the following check-in days:

 

  • Friday - 3-night stay - SAVE 50% on your 3rd night!  (based on regular rate packages)
  • Monday - 2-night stay
  • Wednesday - 2-night stay

 

Guest Houses require a 3-night stay on weekends (Dates can be combined for longer stays, based on park operating calendar 2-night weekend stays may be available in the spring/fall).

Is there daily housekeeping in the Guest Houses?

There is no daily housekeeping, and unfortunately no rollaway beds, cots, extra mattresses, or cribs available for our guest houses. We kindly ask that you plan accordingly by bringing an air mattress, or Pack n’ Play if it is needed.

Yes, all cabins come equipped with grills. The Deluxe Cabins (#70-#76) have gas grills and all other cabins have charcoal grills. You are required to provide your own charcoal.

The only difference between these cabins is the distance to the park entrance. The Preferred Lakeside Cabins are closer to the park entrance. There is a small price difference between these two unit types.

RV Information

Roast some marshmallows by the campfire, have a family picnic, and explore our scenic walkways! For the more adventurous family types, our RV rentals are an economical getaway option - that's just like Camping! Located just a short walk from the park entrance, our non-smoking RV Rentals are a convenient camping option!

How many people can sleep in an RV?

The Standard Pioneer and Ontario Place RVs can sleep up to 6 people. The Slide Out and Niagara Frontier RVs can sleep up to 8 people. There are additional charges for each person for park admission.

What is the difference between the Slide Out RVs and the Niagara Frontier Slide Out RVs?

The only difference between these RVs is the location. The Niagara Frontier Slide Out RVs are in a preferred location closer to the park entrance. The units face inward towards a large grassy area ideal for groups and families. There is a small price difference between these two unit types.

Glamping Information

Make camping easy and let us do the work for you! With our “ready-made campsites” we will provide the convenience of a platform canvas tent and queen size bed already setup for you to relax in! Get back to nature without roughing it! Enjoy the thrills and excitement of the Theme Park during the day, and unwind and relax at the Glampsite at night.

How many people can sleep in a Glamping Tent?

The Glamping Tents can sleep up to 4 people. There is (1) Queen size bed and room to fit an air mattress on the floor in front of the bed. There are additional charges for each person for park admission.

The tent is made of a thick canvas material and it sits on a wooden platform elevated off the ground.

Camping Information

Get back to nature by pitching your own tent, or bring your own camping trailer. More than 600 wooded, shady, grassy, or sunny campsites await the true camper or RV-er. During the day, you’ll enjoy the thrills and excitement of the theme park, while at night you can come back to the crackling sounds of the campfire and sleep under the stars!

What type of campsite should I book?

If you are tent camping or have a SMALL popup camper you should book a Tier 1 or Tier 2 campsite. If you have a camper any larger than 20 feet you should book a Full Hookup Site or a Pull Through Site.

What is the difference between a Tier 1 and a Tier 2 campsite?
The only difference between these sites is the distance to the park entrance. The Tier 1 campsites are closer to the park entrance. There is a small price difference between these two site types.

Is there electric/water/sewer hookups on the campsites?

Every campsite comes equipped with water and electric hookups. We recommend you bring a hose and extension cord. The Full Hookup and Pull Through Sites also have sewer hookups. We do also have a free dumping station on property. For specific information on the amperage or size of your site please call us at 585-599-2211.
